Various Technician Vacancies at Judicial Service Commission (JSC) is an independent entity established under Article 112(1) of the Constitution of the United Republic of Tanzania, 1977 and the Judiciary Administration Act CAP 237. Among its core responsibilities is the recruitment of judiciary staff.

The Commission invites applications from qualified Tanzanians for the following Technician vacancies in the Judiciary of Tanzania.

TECHNICIAN II – Welding and Fabrication (TGS C)

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Cut, shape, and assemble metal parts using various tools and machinery.
  • Interpret technical drawings.
  • Inspect and ensure quality of fabricated parts.
  • Employ welding techniques such as arc and MIG welding.
  • Operate welding equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Inspect and correct defective welds.

Qualifications:

  • Ordinary Diploma or Full Technician Certificate (FTC) in Welding and Fabrication, Welding Mechanics, or equivalent from a recognized institution.

TECHNICIAN II – Air Conditioning (HVAC) (TGS C)

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Install HVAC systems including air conditioners, furnaces, and ventilation equipment.
  • Test systems for functionality and safety.
  • Perform routine maintenance and emergency repairs.
  • Inspect components and manage refrigerants.

Qualifications:

  • Ordinary Diploma or FTC in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning or equivalent from a recognized institution.

TECHNICIAN II – Plumbing (TGS C)

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Attend to and report water leakages and distribution faults.
  • Report contamination issues in distribution lines.
  • Prepare data for reports and participate in performance planning.
  • Perform any other duties assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Ordinary Diploma or FTC in Plumbing and Pipe Fitting from a recognized institution.

TECHNICIAN II – Electrical (TGS C)

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assemble, install, test and maintain electrical wiring and equipment.
  • Inspect electrical systems for hazards and compliance.
  • Use testing devices such as voltmeters and oscilloscopes.
  • Read schematics and recommend operational improvements.

Qualifications:

  • Ordinary Diploma or FTC in Electrical Engineering from a recognized institution.

CIVIL TECHNICIAN II – Painter (TGS C)

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform maintenance of buildings and track works.
  • Interpret project plans and drawings.
  • Participate in testing construction materials and ensure compliance with specifications.

Qualifications:

  • FTC or Ordinary Diploma in Civil Technology/Engineering or equivalent from a recognized institution.

1.6 CIVIL TECHNICIAN II – Carpenter (TGS C)

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Maintain building and track works.
  • Read project plans and take part in testing construction materials.
  • Ensure construction aligns with design specifications.

Qualifications:

  • FTC or Ordinary Diploma in Civil Technology/Engineering or equivalent from a recognized institution.

    • Professional Registration Certificates
    • NIDA ID and Birth Certificate

    • Testimonials or partial transcripts
  8. Upload a recent passport size photo in the JSC electronic application form.
  9. Public servants must apply through their current employer.
  10. Retired public servants are not eligible to apply.
  11. Provide three reputable referees with reliable contact information.
  12. Foreign certificates must be verified by:
    • NECTA (for O-level & A-level)
    • TCU and NACTE (for professional certificates)
