
The Director of Singida Municipal Council has received approval for new employment positions for the 2024/2025 staffing plan from the Permanent Secretary, President’s Office – Public Service Management and Good Governance, via letter with Ref. No. FA.97/228/01/A/25 dated April 29, 2025.
Therefore, all qualified Tanzanians are invited to apply for the following job vacancies:
Open Positions and Description
1. Office Management Secretary II – 5 Positions
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Typing letters, reports, and documents (both regular and confidential).
- Receiving visitors, listening to their concerns, and directing them to the appropriate offices.
- Managing schedules, appointments, meeting dates, and other official events.
- Retrieving and organizing files and documents required for official duties.
- Receiving and distributing files to relevant departments/sections.
- Collecting, storing, and returning documents to the appropriate storage.
- Preparing agendas and making arrangements for various meetings.
- Compiling a list of office equipment and supply needs.
- Performing any other duties assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications:
- Holder of Form IV or Form VI certificate with a Diploma in Secretarial Studies (NTA Level 6).
- Must have passed shorthand typing in both Kiswahili and English at 100 words per minute.
- Must possess computer skills in programs such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, E-mail, and Publisher from a recognized institution.
Salary Scale:
- According to Government salary scale TGS C.
2. Driver Grade II – 6 Positions
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Inspecting the vehicle before and after trips to ensure roadworthiness.
- Transporting staff to various official destinations.
- Performing minor vehicle repairs and maintenance.
- Collecting and distributing various official documents.
- Logging all trips in the vehicle logbook.
- Maintaining vehicle cleanliness.
- Performing other related tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications:
- Completed Form IV or Form VI education.
- Possession of a Class C or E driving license, with at least one year of driving experience without causing accidents.
- Must have attended a Basic Driving Course from a government-recognized institution.
3. Records Management Assistant II – 4 Positions
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Registering incoming correspondence.
- Registering outgoing correspondence.
- Distributing files to officers.
- Receiving and returning files from staff to the registry.
- Returning files to shelves or cabinets after use.
- Tracking file circulation within the institution.
Qualifications:
- Holder of Form IV or Form VI certificate, with a Diploma (NTA Level 6) in Records Management from a government-recognized institution.
- Must have computer literacy.
Salary Scale:
- According to Government salary scale TGS C.
General Application Conditions:
- Applicants must be Tanzanian citizens, aged between 18 and 45 years.
- Must attach a birth certificate.
- Must submit a detailed CV with reliable contact information and referees.
- Must attach copies of academic certificates, Form IV and VI certificates, and relevant professional training certificates as specified in the job requirements.
- Testimonials, Provisional Results, Statement of Results, and Form IV/VI result slips are not accepted.
- Applicants must upload two recent passport-sized photos in their Recruitment Portal account.
- Applicants who studied abroad must have their certificates verified by TCU, NECTA, or NACTE.
- Retired public servants are not eligible, unless they have clearance from the Chief Secretary.
- Current public servants in entry-level positions are not allowed to apply, and must comply with circular Ref. CAC.45/257/01/D/140 dated November 29, 2010.
- Providing false information or forged documents will result in legal action.
