6 Vacancies Open at Ilemela Municipal Council, The Director of Ilemela Municipal Council has received approval for new employment from the Permanent Secretary, President’s Office – Public Service Management and Good Governance, through letter Ref. No. FA.97/228/01/A/25 dated 29th April, 2025.

Therefore, the Director invites job applications from all qualified Tanzanians for the following position:

Open Positions and Description

1. Driver Grade II – 6 Positions

Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Inspecting the vehicle before and after trips to determine roadworthiness and safety.
  2. Driving employees to various official destinations.
  3. Performing minor vehicle maintenance.
  4. Transporting and distributing official documents as needed.
  5. Recording all trips in the vehicle’s logbook.
  6. Cleaning and maintaining the vehicle.
  7. Performing other duties assigned by the employer.

Qualifications:

  • Must have completed Form IV or Form VI.
  • Possess a valid Class “E” or “C” driving license with at least one year of driving experience without causing accidents.
  • Must have attended a Basic Driving Course from the Vocational Education and Training Authority (VETA) or any other institution recognized by the Government.

Salary Scale:

  • According to Government pay scale TGS B.

General Application Conditions

  1. All applicants must be Tanzanian citizens aged between 18 and 45 years, except for those currently employed in the Government.

  3. All applicants must attach a detailed and up-to-date Curriculum Vitae (CV) with active contact information, including a phone number, email address, and three reliable referees.
  4. Public servants who have acquired qualifications that allow them to apply for different cadres must submit their applications through their current employers who must verify and approve them accordingly.
  5. Attach certified copies of academic and professional certificates, including Form IV and VI certificates, as well as completion certificates for professional training relevant to the post.
  6. Testimonials, Provisional Results, Statements of Results, and Form IV/VI result slips will NOT be accepted.
  7. Applicants who studied abroad must ensure their certificates are verified and approved by relevant authorities (TCU, NECTA, or NACTE).
  8. Retired public servants are not allowed to apply, unless they have formal permission from the Chief Secretary.
  9. Applicants already employed in entry-level positions within the Public Service should not apply and must adhere to Circular No. CAC.45/257/01/D/140 dated 30th November 2010.
  10. Submission of false information or forged documents will result in legal action.
